T.T.VIVE
SURVIVAL · SCORE
An open-ended score run that becomes faster every minute until the stack finally blocks the next piece.
Prepare for the next minute
Read the situation
The first speed change shortens the automatic drop interval from 300 ms to 240 ms per cell. That is 20% less time per automatic step; it is not a 20% reduction in the time available for every possible placement. The remaining travel distance and your inputs still matter.
Choose the safer move
Near a minute boundary, a high tower with a four-line setup can be harder to recover than a lower board after a small clear. If the next piece cannot safely use the reserved lane, reduce the stack before chasing the larger bonus.
Try it yourself
After a run, compare score with survival time and cleared lines. Longer survival alone does not guarantee the higher ranked score. Identify the first speed level where you began making extra corrections, then practise reading the preview earlier.

Game Overview
ViVE removes the finish line. The board follows normal downward gravity, but the run begins at level 5 and the interval between automatic drops becomes shorter as time passes. Cleared lines, hard drops and survival at higher speed combine into the score.
Objective and Game Over
Stay alive for as long as possible while clearing rows and earning points. There is no target-line victory screen. The run ends when the occupied cells reach the spawn area and the next piece cannot enter. Final score, cleared lines and survival time are retained as the run summary.
How to Play
- Press Q or the start control to begin at level 5.
- Build complete horizontal rows without trapping empty cells.
- Use hard drops for efficient placement and extra distance points.
- Adapt when the speed rises at each one-minute boundary.
- After game over, review score, lines and time, then restart.
Controls
- ← / →
- Move the active piece.
- ↓
- Soft drop.
- ↑ / X
- Rotate clockwise.
- Z
- Rotate counter-clockwise.
- Space
- Hard drop. Release after one placement; holding repeats.
- Q / Esc
- Start or restart / return.
Speed Curve
ViVE starts with a 300 ms automatic drop interval. Every 60 seconds it advances one level: 240 ms, 180 ms, 120 ms and finally 80 ms at level 9. The change is permanent for that run. A clean board before each minute boundary gives more room to react after the pace increases.
Scoring
Completing more rows at once is worth more than isolated single clears, and the level multiplies line-clear value. A four-line clear receives an additional bonus. Hard dropping awards points for the distance travelled, while surviving a level transition also contributes to the run. The ranking value is the total score, not simply the longest clock time.
Survival Tips
- Prioritise a flat, readable surface over a risky bonus.
- Reserve a lane only while you can still feed it safely.
- Clear high stacks before the next minute.
- At level 9, decide while reading the preview rather than after spawn.
- Use soft drop for final alignment; do not hold it through uncertainty.
What Makes ViVE Different?
RiNT asks how quickly a fixed target can be cleared; ViVE asks how long control can be maintained while the tempo rises. The best run is not a short burst. It is a sequence of stable decisions that continues through several different input speeds.
T.T.VIVE FAQ
Does the game become faster over time?
Yes. Speed rises once per minute from level 5 until the maximum level 9.
What ends a run?
A run ends when a new piece cannot spawn because the stack occupies its entry area.
Is survival time the ranking value?
Time is recorded, but the main competitive value for ViVE is score.
Is there a line target?
No. Cleared lines add score and space, but ViVE continues until game over.
